ABOUT ME

Budding writer who wants to write a cornucopia of books (But just one will do for now) i have just made the big step of moving to the Netherlands to live with my Dutch girlfriend we met in Falmouth (my former hometown) a year ago.

I have just finished working for a local brewery helping to promote and market their beer.

I use to sell artwork for local artists in Cornish auction houses.

PHILOSOPHY

It's whether you have control over your life/time that matters so work to live don't live to work.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well i currently rent an apartment in Enschede, Netherlands on the German border with my girlfriend Mirjam. It's a one bedroom flat with fantastic views and faces west so a nice place to watch the sunset.

So we are willing to open our home to people who would like to visit this part of the Netherlands as i love meeting new people myself too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Three years ago i had three people come and stay from Croatia ( When i was living in England) we had a real fun time (although it did rain a lot) and i now have the time free again (and a new country to explore myself)to let people come and stay.

I had not used Couchsurfing before but i read a interesting book called Hidden Europe by Francis Tapon who mentioned his great Couchsurfing experiences and meetings with new people on his travels through Eastern Europe.

I also hope to visit St Petersburg one day as i am a great lover of Russian literature especially Nikolai Gogol.

So, i decided to open my house to visitors to Falmouth and the surrounding area as i hope to be reciprocated on my travels in the future.

Zainteresowania

Reading historical texts such as first meetings of peoples i.e Maori and Aborigines first meetings with European travellers.

Also any interesting literature ecspecially stream of consciousness novels such as James Joyce' Ulysses it is one of the most important works of Modernist literature and parallels Homers Odyssey.

Swimming, cycling reading and playing tennis.
