Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore and meet people in Sydney.
ABOUT ME
I'm an independent and laid back guy who loves adventure and travel—whether solo or not. I'm also a huge lover of music, film, food, and wine, among so many other things. I've been told I'm a great conversationalist—in part because I listen and I'm genuinely interested in other people.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is about sharing and being part of something bigger. Time is the most valuable asset we have and to waste it is life's biggest tragedy. The unexplored life is not a life worth living, to me. Face your fears often, and give without expecting as often as you can. I try to elevate every experience, whether it's finding the perfect brunch spot, surprising people with a thoughtful gift, or by bringing the best mix of people together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am currently not in a position to host, but I'm eager to contribute to the CouchSurfing community however I can. I owe a debt of gratitude to the hosts that have made my traveling possible, and thoroughly enjoyable, so far.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Although I haven't hosted yet, and have only surfed with a modest number of people, those that I have surfed with have been among the most generous and friendly that I have met anywhere in life. I am looking forward to repaying the favour to other surfers in the future.
Interests
I love to write, play guitar, share experiences with good friends, connect with strangers, ask questions, learn about anything and everything and share it with others, go on spontaneous adventures, climb mountains, walk across countries, mountain bike through the woods, learn new skills, stargaze, and spend time with family.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to genres of music spanning: jazz, chillout, classical, house, minimal, indie, heavy metal, oldies. I listen to different styles depending on my mood, as well as what I'm doing and how mentally demanding it is.
I read lots of non-fiction to do with business, philosophy, psychology, health and diet, to name but a few. I love films that make you think and on which you can reflect and draw your own opinions or judgements about what you just saw. A good plot is a must. I really love certain comedies although good ones are harder to find. I love watching documentaries about all different subjects provided I can learn something new.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In February, 2015, my expedition partner and me spent three months trekking 2,000 km across Canada's frozen 'Great North', during the heart of winter, to immerse ourselves in different communities of First Nations (aboriginal Canadians) in order to document their traditions, values, and way of life, before it disappears forever. We now run educational workshops in French and British schools, teaching kids about the importance of protecting and enjoying the environment, and having a passion project, using the stories of our adventure as the vessel through which the messages are carried.

Teach, Learn, Share
I've played guitar for about 15 years and love teaching people that want to learn. I'm proficient at design using Adobe products. I can make websites. I have studied the subjects of psychology, philosophy, diet, nutrition and exercise, entrepreneurship, and... well, is that enough?
