UPCOMING TRIP January 14 - 21
My girlfriend (Kelly Hannifin) and I are visiting Colorado with no real plans other than renting snowboards, some 4x4 wheels and going on an adventure.

Not much in the way of plans, but are very open to suggestions. Definitely interested in snowboarding, hot springs and outdoor things weather permitting.

We would love to make some new, cool friends while we are traversing the countryside.

My brother and I decided to make this a joint account. Easier if 2 people are monitoring the profile, below is me (Matt)

Social chameleon. I'm about 70/30 participitation/observation. I enjoy food, drink, company, conversation and new experiences.

I take great pride in hosting and hospitality. Let's put some ideas together and find activities that we will both enjoy and make it happen!

My brother, Jeff and I have a great 2BR townhome with a comfy couch and chair that can host up to 2 people. Located 1.5 miles east from downtown until August. We like to have a good time, to be sure. My world is super dynamic and I make my own schedule pretty much, so I'll be around to help you navigate the city.

Particularly interested in people from other great cities around the world so we can do some couch trading in the future. I want to put my place up for others before I try my luck. Ya know, build up the karma bank of hospitality and trust.

I love this idea of people connecting this way on such a human to human level. Hotels are stupid and impersonal. People from out of town that are interested in moving to Austin or just want to visit for festivals are welcome. Looking for life livers like myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed several times between careers. It is a natural part of life to me, so I want to pay it back and pay it forward.

Trail biking and city biking! If you have a bike, please bring it!

UPDATE: I now have a 2 extra road friendly bikes for someone to use in addition to the bike available below.

If you don't, that's ok. My friend Ann has a girl's bike that she will let me lend out to a responsible rider.
