About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pursuing a career in health administration while making as many new friends as possible along the way.

ABOUT ME

I graduated from Wheaton College (MA) in 2015 where I studied Spanish and studied abroad in Mexico and Spain. While at school, I met many students from around the world and have been fortunate enough to visit many in their home country. I am currently working as a Quality Improvement Data Coordinator in the Psychiatry department at Boston Children's Hospital and hope to go on to get my MBA/MPH in a couple of years. I try to live a relaxed, easy life and would love to meet other travelers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used couchsurfing while I was traveling in New Mexico and had an amazing time. The hosts I stayed with were very friendly and improved my trip significantly. I've really enjoyed being a host so far here in Boston and look forward to meeting many more wonderful travelers.

Interests

I enjoy hiking, running, snowboarding, and playing a variety of sports such as soccer, rugby, and basketball. I would like to learn to bake new things, improve my cooking skills and to try new foods. I like to travel by meeting those who know the area best and can explain what they love about it the most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Gujarat, India a couple summers ago and worked with a non-profit organization (The MINDS Foundation) to work towards ending the stigma of mental health in rural communities. For most of the time I was there I lived at a film-studio that was owned by the university we were working with. One day I was tricked by one of the lead actors to play a simple character on the show. However, once I arrived I was given a costume to wear and told that I would be a king with two lines in Hindi. My ability to speak Hindi was unfortunately terrible and my segment didn't' end up being aired. Although it was rather embarrassing, the crew had a good laugh and I had an amazing time discovering that I should not pursue a career as an actor.

Teach, Learn, Share

"Your living is determined not so much by what life brings you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens." ~ Olga Lawrence

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to speak Spanish with you as well as learn any other languages you may speak. I hope to offer good conversation and great company. I can share travel stories and would love to learn more about why you chose to live in the city that you do. I am hoping to move out of the northeast in the next couple of years and would love to learn more about where you currently call home.
