I love to have a good time and will find the best of any situation. I always have a smile on my face and am an optimistic person (some say too optimistic). I am a pilot in the Air Force and am transitioning jobs currently and wanted to do some traveling. I enjoy anything outside, eating amazing food and learning about people and their life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time trying to surf in Toronto and it's proving slightly difficult due to the holiday weekend!!

Interests

I haven't had tv for the last 6 months and it hasn't bothered me once. Being outside, engaging with nature, other people and just taking time out of our hectic lives to relax and appreciate what is around us is so important to me. Even though I am not able to do this all of the time, it is a personal goal of mine.

In the past, I spend most of my time instructing students how to fly airplanes and was working 60 hours per week. I loved getting home and being able to cook a nice meal or just sit outside and relax. Meeting up with friends for a bbq, fishing, camping or just watching some college football are some of my interests.

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much quote movies all day, especially comedies.

As for music, I will listen to almost anything, but am a huge country, alternative rock and rap fan.

Reading is not my strong suit, but I'm working to set aside time to read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Maui last year and had been kayaking for 3 hours trying to get some great pics of whales. Finally, as we were about to head in a massive whale jumped out right in front of us completely out of the water! We were able to get an amazing photo and I'll never forget this once in a lifetime experience.

I went flying in my friend's airplane called a Breezy and if you look it up online you'll know exactly why. It's completely open air and you feel like you could fall out at any moment….great experience and opportunity!
