À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

'Love is my religion' - Ziggy Marley

ABOUT ME

Im a laidback, easygoing youngman from Amsterdam. I am a musican and teacher who loves to have a good time and to check out live music, but also a dreamer who truly believes that this world can live in peace and harmony together. Here it is already happening: one couch at the time. To quote Ziggy Marley: 'Love is my religion'. That is pretty much what makes up my personality. I am always craving for adventure, music and I love people so much. I am full of life, stories of my travels, music and love.

PHILOSOPHY

Its all about three things:

Love, Positivity and pleasure (in that order)

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I did some couchsurfin as far downunder as Australia and as far north as Alaska. In Amsterdam, where i study history and live, I have hosted lots of people in the capital of this very capital of the world and I really could feel the mutual love between me and my surfers. I love people, hosting travelers and I just like helping people out :)And showing them why Amsterdam is by far the craziest and most amazing city to live in. As I was traveling this year thru canada and hitch hiking to Alaska i couldnt react on people's requests as i forgot to change my status haha.So thats why my percentage of answered requests is pretty low. So dont be scared off by that.
if u want we can drink a coupla dutch beers in town (yes, some real beers, no Weizers) or just at my place and play some guitar.. ONE LOVE

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Im a HUGE music fan. You will find out soon enough when you stay with me, im always playin guitar and listening to my newest tunes, straight from the heart! I love rock n roll, blues, jazz, bluegrass, acoustic stuff et cetera. Its one of my greatest passions. I even play guitar and sing in an Amsterdamish (?) band called The Cuban Cigar Club. I love movies. One flew over the cuckooks nest, easy rider, All eddy murphy videos, Falwty Towers, all the work of John Cleese, Holy Grail, ministry of silly walks, braveheart, gangs of ny, once upon a time in the west, lord of the rings, napoleon dynamite, superbad, juno, cold mountain, Back to the future! The bluesbrothers and Into The Wild, and ofcourse the greatest movie of all time The Big Lebowski!!! The Dude ABIDES!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I hitch hiked all the way up to Alaska from Vancouver, Canada. THat was one of craziest and most thrilling trips of my life. 3 years ago i went to New Zealand, Indonesia, Australia, Scotland and Thailand, that trip shaped me as human being and nourished my soul.
and ive just experienced so many amazing things, you dont even realize. youll soon find out when you have a chat with me. I like hitch hiking for the weekend to some random european cities and couchsurf over there and party all weekend long and try to get mixed with the locals. I love that.

A book i would like to recommend for everybody is The Wayfinders, by the Canadian anthropologist Wade Davis, about how ancient wisdom of indigenous peoples of the world matters in the modern world, from the Inuit in Canada to the San in Africa. I read it in cuba last may. It was like reading the guide to enlightment and hope of this life! It nourished my soul and made me a wiser man.
