About Me
Hey, everyone!
I grew up in a small town near Cleveland, Ohio. But for the past 8-years of my life I have lived in southern Ohio where I went to college and started my professional career. For the past year I worked for the same university where I studied, my occupation was split between instructing students and working in a marketing department.
About 6-months ago I left my job and embarked on a journey Westward to Nevada, but before I went West, I traveled East to visit family. A couple week trip in Philadelphia turned into a 4-month stay of helping elderly family transition to a better living situation.
My move out West is geographically inclined. I love more than anything to be outdoors backpacking, canoeing, and skiing. Which, if you see me roll up to your place, will be quite obvious. I have all the outdoor activities strapped to the top of my car and a canoe wrapped in Christmas lights.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am traveling across the U.S. from Ohio to Nevada and am looking to make a few friends along the way. My last trip to the West coast was fantastic, I took a trip down Route 66 and Couch Surfed with awesome people that greatly enhanced my trip—I am hoping to repeat that experience as I take the Northern route on a solo mission.

Music, Movies, and Books
All types of music, with the exception of country music that you may find on the radio. You might catch me listening to Mozart, Nine Inch Nails, Wu-Tang Clan, and Bob Marley all in a sitting.
Most of the movies I watch are documentaries, but I am a sucker for a good comedy.
Reading is something I love to do, my car looks like I am hustling moon-shine during the prohibition, but it’s really just a huge moving container full of books. I prefer educational books, I read typography, design, and web development to stay current in my profession. But I also enjoy books on the outdoors, survival, and expedition training.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was a wilderness canoe guide who led crews of 15 through the backcountry of Canada when I was 16-years-old.
