ABOUT ME

I'm 24, just finished a two year sabbatical working at old Students' Union. I've just moved down to Oxford to start a new job at the University.

I'm quite new to travelling and am looking to see the world before I get a bit to grown up. Reasonably down to earth; enjoy things like reading, politics, red wine, gin, the outdoors and folk music.

PHILOSOPHY

I enjoy the outdoors and what it has to offer. Generally enjoy hanging around with similar people who appreciate the world in which we live and can work and live in climates that the outdoors can through at you.

I believe communities and interacting with other people are the strongest places in the world; whether it be through organisations that bring people together, or volunteering or meeting through a cause.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I normally participate through walking everywhere. I like public transport especially trains to get to from main place A to B, but normally learning through roaming the streets and having coffee.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very little if i'm honest-I'm new to the world of travelling.

Intereses

In my spare time I enjoy alot of outdoor activity from rockclimbing, walking, mountaineering. When indoors I'm a bit of Sci-Fi geek with a unhealthy obsession with Doctor Who and BSG.

I think I can teach people basic politics in language which most of us understands as opposed to the confusing jargon that we are used to hearing.
I'd love to learn about the way local communities trade and do business with each other. Whether is be through online trading of goods, markets, stalls, shops and how is specific to that community.
