CURRENT MISSION

To learn about all of the places we have only read about and end up back in Chicago in one piece. This is our first big trip and we are trying to make as many friends as possible and so far we have made quite a few.

ABOUT ME

I am very passionate about traveling and learning. There is something really wonderful about waking up somewhere that is new and completely different from my normal life. my trips have taken me through the big cities of western Europe and some of the small towns.
I just really love to learn new things and teach others about our experiences. Couch surfing has opened an entirely new realm of experiences and I am really looking forward to staying with and hosting people.

I am currently in the process of looking for a new apartment so I am unable to host, but soon I will have a couch available.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a wonderful couple from the Netherlands and I've met plenty of amazing people with wonderful experiences. I'm looking forward to continuing to grow into a better surfer.

Interests

I am interested in history, photography, music, wine, food, art and great conversations. Cooking with local ingredients while I'm travelling has been a wonderful way to find new tastes and start conversations with new friends. I have been avoiding fast food of all kinds and trying to take in as much local cuisine as possible while travelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stone Henge and all of Salisbury England. What a wonderful surprise! So much life and adventure in a small city. The cathedral and history of the town are a treat. It can all be done in a day trip, but it is worth an entire weekend.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a black and white photographer. I studied the chemical process of film photography and I've recently entered the digital age.

I've tried to learn great deal about Chicago and the surrounding area and I think that I would make very good tour guides, I know where all the good food is haha.

Learning new languages would be my first goal. It is unfortunate how little I know about other languages but I am trying to learn as I go.
