Quit my good job working for corporations in NY to pursue sailing.... Hopefully turn this into something sustainable, become a captain, at least support a simple lifestyle.

I also play Banjo, Gyil, Ghanain and Haitian Percussion.

Just getting my profile in order now, sharing, and caring.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Bermuda and had an overall positive experience. I've done a bit of traveling around on sail boats as well, hitching rides. Not easy but always interesting. Met some great people playing music in the Bahamas, turned into good friends. Couchsurfing might be a better way to connect than by randomly approaching people on the docks and asking to get on their boats.

Hiking into the Grand Canyon. Crossing Gulf Stream in in-climate weather. Sleeping on floors for 4 months in West Africa.
