ABOUT ME

heya! im a pretty easy going guy, will happily sit and chat with anyone and everyone who looks like they would be fun. i love to go out and have a few drinks with friends, and then dance like no ones watching! can't stand instant coffee and am hence heavily addicted to my soy chai's at the moment.

I love animals and have always wanted my very own snow leopard, just so I can have a 'beware of the cat' sign at my front door. for now I am content with my cat, Archie (short for Archimedes). I will either listen politely to any conversation or have trouble shutting up when I get interested. I would describe myself as..eccentric (not crazy, eccentric just sounds nicer don't you think?)

PHILOSOPHY

I firmly believe that one person can change the world and hope that I can somehow help to make life better for those around me (as well as myself of course! hehe). I feel sometimes you need to fake it till you make it and never tend to plan things too far in advance, though you always need to have a Plan B!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I plan to see as much of the world as possible over the next few years and then settle down back home (maybe?) and help many others do the same when I go back to Australia, and I do, of course, shamelessly promote CS to anyone who listens or is within an acceptable hearing range

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have couchsurfed with a few people when in England and absolutely loved it! Have met some of the most wonderful and interesting people so far and cannot wait to meet some more. Have lived with some couchsurfer's who came and stayed with my friends family (who I was also living with at the time :P)

Interests

I generally like to spend my free time hanging out with my mates, and I love going to the cinema to watch movies, when in Australia (home) I tend to go maybe once a week, sometimes more if I can convince more of my friends to see movies (that I had probably already seen with someone else the week before). I also enjoy reading and can get pretty lost in a book sometimes, oh, and I love listening to my iPod/iPhone as loud as I can and then dance around like no one is watching!

Music, Movies, and Books

I do love to read (as previously stated) and just sit back and watch a good movie. I love a romantic comedy but am mostly into sci-fi action stuff. I would love to say I'm well read, but honestly, I love to re-read books and find out all the stuff I missed the first time, so my personal library is a little limited, and when it comes to music I love to listen to it and I generally love it loud! Usually so I can tune everything else out and dance like no one is watching!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I loved the crazy streets of Marrakech in Morocco, and seeing such vast differences between the 'haves' and 'have-nots' in a less developed world. And I fulfilled my dream of standing under the Eiffel Tower on my birthday!

Teach, Learn, Share

not sure what i can teach others, really, but hopefully my philosophy of 'no regrets' can be passed around, it's not worth living in the past but it is worth learning from it.
i would love to learn more about other cultures and societies, so that i can pass those things on to others and expand their views of our world
