Hello Everyone!

My name is Matthew and I live in London England. I am Canadian and before moving to the UK I lived in France for almost two years. I love languages, I'm now learning Spanish. I love nature, connecting with people, learning, and having fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because travelling is better with contacts in the new places we go and I want to explore as much as possible. Visiting places is great but visiting the people in those places is even better.

Interests

I'm very physically active. I work out at least 5 times a week, it helps my body and mind to stay sharp. I enjoy a mixture of activities so I'm not just stuck in the gym lifting weights.

I love learning. In addition to languages I love learning practical things, like sewing.

I'm also very much into games. It's a great way to get to know people and spend an evening laughing, and maybe crying. I would rather stay in with friends and play than go out partying, although I do think a night out every once and a while is good for you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learning my fourth language has been a pretty great experience. Still a long way to go but I love it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will be open to helping people with English if they want but I am very happy to live in French, Italian, or Spanish. I'm a coach so I'm also happy to help people gain clarity on things that feel stuck.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will always do my share of the housework and I love to make people laugh. Sharing stories and learning about others and what they have been through is such a joy. I think everyone has something to offer, more than just a couch. Of course this is a great site for saving money but I want to meet people, learn the culture, make amazing friends and so when I am old and can't do what I can do now, I will be able to think back and remember the time I spent with friends; eating, laughing, playing and living my best possible life.
