ABOUT ME

Brown curly hair, blue eyes and I like to travel, hike, swim and meet different cultures.
My lovely wife, has brown/blond hair with beautifull brown eyes. She works as an occupational therapist.

I studied Electrical engineering, but at the moment I am working in a high rated hostel (Shelter City) in Amsterdam.

PHILOSOPHY

No worries, just trust in the Lord, respect others, treat everyone with kindness and love. Do not judge people because "God won't condemn you. God will be as hard on you as you are on others! He will treat you exactly as you treat them."

We make our own plans, but the Lord decides where we will go. (Proverbs 16:9)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to meet local people in countries which I visit and I'd like to welcome people as a guest in the country where I live.

In 2007/2008 I traveled around the world for a year. I met some really amazing friends through this site all around the world and thanks so much to all the people who have hosted me so far. :)

In 2009 I went a couple of times to Italy to travel around, also the Italian people are great to visit. And one you are there you have to try their Ice-cream.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had some Couchsurf experience in the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Macau, South Africa and Dubai during my worldtrip in 2007/2008.
In 2009 I went to Italy a couple times, where I also did some couchsurfing with my brother.
In 2010 I hosted some people at my parents home and in Rotterdam where I lived at that time.
In 2011 I went to Israel, where I did some couchsurfing in Jerusalem.

I haven't got any bad experience for so far. I met a lot of different people and all different kind of couches, like a luxurious room with own bathroom in the middle of the City center till a simple thin mattress in a living room with no privacy. But I enjoyed it all...

Interests

I'm interested in open minded people from all over the world. Furthermore, I like biking, hiking, walking, swimming and adventuring in this beautiful creation.

Music, Movies, and Books

"Faith like Potato" is a really good movie which inspired me.

"Under the Overpass" is a good book written by a backpacker who choose to live like a homeless man in America.

"Into the Wild" is a great movie which set you thinking about beautiness and power of nature.

"Rebecka st. James" Christian music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen a lot of amazing things, e.g. the sunset in the Grand Canyons, Hurricane in Fiji, Tongarero Crossing in New Zealand, hitchhiking from north NZ to south NZ, sleeping for a couple of nights in the dangerous desert of Australia, Visiting snake temple in Malaysia, Approaching crocodile on the beach in South Africa, Almost stepping on a pofadder during one of the hike's in Nature Valley(SA),Watching sunrise from lake of Gallilee in Israel, and lot's more ....
Dangerous or not one thing is for sure, we are in the hand's of our Lord who is with us every time/anywhere.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a technical person, I like to fix some electrical appliances/devices, I like gardening (but have no garden anymore at home), I'd like to testify about our Lord Jesus. I'd like to share travel experiences and I'd like to learn new kind of sports.
