About Me
PHILOSOPHY
do you know sophie calle? once paul auster wrote her the "gotham handbook, personal instructions for SC on how to improve life in new york city (because she asked …)." Anyway she started to care for a phone box in new york. She painted it, placed flowers and drinks in it and ... if anyone would care for a place like she did our world would be better. another task paul auster gave her, was to smile at people in the metro and count how many people resmile (? smile back). it's amazing. so open your eyes, smile at strangers without being afraid or thinking about what they could think.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i joined the ny couchersurfer community in march 2009. it was great and i want to share this experience.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i didn't know anybody in ny. then i read silvias (brazil) post: "let's go to the st. patricks day parade in brooklyn". so we went there together with kinga (poland) and daniel (spain). the parade was too serious for our green spirit. so we did a pub crawl. from this day we met again and again. ... so if you are in a strange town, don't stay alone at home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i travelled in southeastern asia and europe. i recommend you to go to laos and koh tao, a small tai island, not as crowded as the other places. tell me if you swam in the shark bay. in france you should absolutely go to cassis and walk along the rocky coast. a few years ago i went alone to france to learn french. i intended to walk from brest (all in the north) to bordeaux along the coast. after 5 days an old lady stopped me and asked: "are you stupid." so i started hitchhiking.
