Hi everybody !

My name is Maud, I'm 29 and I live close to Paris. I was working as a Web Product Owner when I quit my job in December 2016. Then, I decided to... not go back to work :)

I never traveled much whereas I would have liked to do so, this is the moment ! I'm traveling with my friend Thibault (in the second photo :) you can checke his profile here https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/thibault-dugast). We started with India, then Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam and we are now in New-Zealand with a working holiday visa :-) We both want to travel the same way, slowly, taking time to discover new cultures and new people. Because traveling is more about people you meet than places you visit (I think)!

So, now, who am I ?!
I'm a simple person, curious, open-minded (I hope!). I like sharing good moments, good talks and laughs with people I love, enjoying a good meal, a beer or whatever. I enjoy rich and honest relationships !
I love nature, I'm interested in sustainable economy, entrepreneurship, "jugaad" spirit, meditation that I've been practising for month.
I admire people who create, imagine, innovate (not to accumulate money but to make life better). I hope to become an entrepreneur, one day :)
and I'm very interested in digital nomad life style !
I'm fond of horses, I rode a horse for 3 years when I was younger, I hope I could ride abroad across amazing landscapes !
I've been driven for years by my job but I'm feeling now that something is missing. I need to leave Paris and enjoy freedom !

Philosophy : live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever.

PS : I'm not totally fluent in english ! But I will improve it on the road :)

I'm on Couchsurfing because it matches with the way I want to travel with my friend. Meet local people who want to share a moment to learn about them, their city, their country, or their own trips...

音乐、电影和书籍

- Music : I love rock ! My favorite instrument is electric guitar. I tried to learn guitar some years ago but I'm definitively not a good player !
- Movie : I don't often watch films, Thibault does ! But I recently watched the amazing documentary "Demain" / "Tomorrow" which aims at showing that the way we live, we eat, we produce, we consume, can't be sustainable, and how some people are already changing that. So interesting.
- Books : I like historical novels like those of Ken Follett, I also like books about innovation like "Jugaad Innovation" or "Lean start-up".

I can teach french and help with internet technology as I've been working in the Web for 6 years. I would like to learn to cook local food :) and why not eat it with french home made bread !? (we tried to do our own with Thibault and it was very good ! It will just maybe need to adapt some ingredient...).
