CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to get all of my things sold, find a place to live, and to move me and my cat to New York City by the time school starts in September. Other than that, I want to make genuine, enduring and dangerous friendships with people I've never met before.

ABOUT ME

I am a lesbian with a library degree who is going back to school to learn to teach English as a second language to adults. For the last three years, I have lived in (and very much enjoyed living in) a housing collective with three houses and forty people in Iowa City, Iowa. I love to cook. I'm a lazy gardener, but an excellent seamstress with an increasing skill at pattern drafting. I really love science fiction.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the past, I was more active on couchsurfing. I hosted and traveled. I've been more inwardly focused recently, but now I am contributing by being a polite and friendly guest as I travel to NYC to search for apartments.
