About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Change the world, a smile at a time.

ABOUT ME

What is to say about me.. I'm a curious person, that loves to discover the world and all that it has to offer. I love cycling, being outside to see people smiling and cooking! I study and volunteer in environmental and human rights issues. I have travelled in few countries in Europe, and in South America too. What else? I am not an alien invading Earth, neither an representant of a big mining company, I do not like hearing people snort and I don't wear socks with my sandals!! Hope you'll still want to meet me! ;-)

PHILOSOPHY

That is the kind of question that can't be answered in few lines... If we meet and you want to know about it, well, we'll go take a beer (or more) and I'll try to explain it to you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Me and my boyfriend (Charles Thibodeau, you can find him too on Couchsurf) are offering a place in our flat in Montreal. I'm actually pregnant, we are waiting for our baby in october, so I'm still available to take a coffee with you, but I won't be up for a drink! ;-)

We will be pleased to help you getting around in Montreal, to find the best place for a microbrewery beer, for the best coffee latte in town, what are the actual environmental challenges in Montreal or where to see local bands, or simply to have a chat!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I love the short stories of Julio Cortazar, the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy from Douglas Adams, Hyperion from Dan Simmons, all books of Daniel Pennac, the Risk Society of Ulrich Beck, No logo from Naomi Klein.
Music: I think there's no kind of music I don't like, but I listen a little bit more to alternative rock. These days I listen a lot to Beirut, Habib Koité, Modest Mouse, Manu Chao, Pink Floyd, Richard Desjardins, Youssou N'Dour, Xavier Rudd, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Postal Service, Ratatat, Tribalistas, Sigur Ros... and lot more!
Movies: Fight Club, Princess Mononoké, Spirited Away, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Harold and Maude, Life's Aquatic. I see a lot of documentaries too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't if I have done much that could be THAT amazing,
but a lot of little things in my travels have been
amazing to me. Mostly, it's the people that've met
that have been amazing. It's these people that just
smile at you and give all they can to help you, it's
their ability to share without borders, these people
are the ones that amazed me the most.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share the best recipe of nut roast or bortsch (beets soup)! You'll see, it's almost better than chocolate!
