About Me

CURRENT MISSION

recycling things.

ABOUT ME

I am very interested in becoming inspired about anything at all. I like dirt a lot, and smudges on clear things, and reflections.

I make a lot of types of art.

I eat organic food.
I like fancy drinks: tea, coffee, kombucha, wine, and fruit beer.

I like to travel in ways that are alternative. Bikes, trains, and boats really excite me. I've been a WWOOFer in Hawaii (organic farm work-trader) and I have a blog about that if you'd like to see: http://mauimuffins.blogspot.com

I don't have a car and I don't have children and I don't have a husband and I don't have a mortgage and I don't have a credit card.

My beagle and I live it up in a one-room studio apartment and we try to enjoy this amazingly unreal existence together.

PHILOSOPHY

I am quite confident that all humans are capable of exploding into a billion stars at will.
And then we will be glitter!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed in Hawaii and also on the West Coast after a long stint WWOOFing and couchsurfing on Maui.

I like drinking mochas, so if that excites you too, how about a meetup?

I can host people at my place, if all the details fit and there is a magical connection between us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One time I woke up to find a couchsurfer peeing onto a pile of my clothing on my bedroom floor. I still bought him a coffee the next day.

I have made an incredible friend while couchsurfing.

Interests

exploring the wilderness of the city,
recognizing myself in others and in nature,
losing track of earth-time,
walking just to walk,
dreaming of better days,
dancing my tail feathers off

Music, Movies, and Books

I play the banjo, ukulele, dulcimer, accordion, and most other folky instruments. I'm not saying I play them well, but I do play them a lot.
"Folkin' You Up!" is the name I go by when I play silly-anarcho-punk-sounding tunes, and "Church and Sea" is my name when I'm more emotional and folky.
Also, "THE E.T.S" is an 80's techno duet I'm in. We play weird spacey tunes that creep me out.
I'm in an experimental noise band called "Space Weets" and we're really, really great. Really.

Contemporary artists that I enjoy are Dark Dark Dark, Daft Punk, Sigur Ros, Do Make Say Think, Explosions in the Sky, and Ladytron.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once hiked through a volcanic crater at Haleakala National Park on Maui for 4 days, snuck into a secret lava tube, snuggled with my love, and was rebirthed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk a lot about: Pittsburgh, Hawaii, Germany, Amsterdam, and Savannah
