Hi everyone,
I'm a 25yo French girl. My name is Maurane, and I love traveling all over the world! I was studying Applied Foreign Languages and speaking English, Spanish or Chinese all the day, when I took the decision to study, work and travel in South America for 13 months. The best decision I ever took. Then, I started a Master degree in Financial Engineering and I finished the 2nd year at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne in Paris in 2018. I'm talkative, and I love eating some specialties from foreign countries

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love hanging out, walking and tasting food when I'm traveling. But to be able to meet local people, it's easier thanks to couchsurfing. I think that it's a good way of life to live and be like local people... and as I love meeting local people while traveling, CS is a good opportunity !

Interests

I love traveling and I've played badminton for 17 years. I would like to visit each country in the world, even if I already know that I probably won't be able to do it. I like walking, and spending time with friends or people I meet during my trips. I also like watching movies!

Music, Movies, and Books

Well... I don't have favorite movies, music or books... I love reading books in other languages, or watching movies of dance for example.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many are coming to my mind:
- The steps of Harvard! I did a workout there during my trip in Boston. At the beginning I was so excited of being there and doing a workout running Harvard stadium steps but the trouble is that it was around 40°C, it was so hard (and I guess not sage).

- A trek in Iceland with my brother, it was so beautiful, but so cold as we were camping.

- South America: 3 days Salar de Uyuni, Machu Picchu y Montañitas, mini trekking in Perito Moreno, Nacional Park of Torres del Paine and Ushuaia, Iguazu Falls, North East of Brasil... I think my trip in South America is the best decision I took and the most amazing thing I did.

- To wake up at 3am to do a trek in Indonesia in order to see the sunrise from a volcano.

- To buy an airplane ticket for New Zealand 36 hours before the departure without any plan.
