Hi there. I'm an enthusiastic Australian who loves history, politics and lots and lots of travel. My twin passions (aside from exploring the world) are supporting others to better include people with disability (my Mum and brother both have lived experience) and creative writing (crime and speculative fiction novels and short stories, sometimes poetry too). My Mum was a backpacker traveler in the 80s and passed the backpacking love on to me. I went on exchange twice at uni - once to Lancaster Uni (UK) and a summer school stint at Oxford University's Exeter College (coolest. thing. ever). I spent very little time studying and explored Europe. Some highlights from these trips include Cinque Terre and Venice in Italy, Munich in Germany and Budapest in Hungary. Every year after my exchanges I tried to keep travelling with shorter trips. I've been to places near Australia such as New Caledonia and Fiji, to the US on a two month backpacking trip (MY LIFE WAS A MUSICAL IN NEW YORK WITH BROADWAY AND ELLEN'S STARDUST DINER) and to Vietnam most recently with my partner. I also love social media and have experimented with Tumblr, LiveJournal, Twitter and WordPress. I love blogging at my author blog, Inkashlings. I love the sense of community you can get through online platforms. I like to dance (I've tried salsa, latino, belly dance, ballet) and sing (I've finally started taking singing lessons). I hang out for the next musical.

I love to meet people when I travel and do things with local people especially. I meet up with a lot of people who are friends of friends I've never met, people I've met through internet fandom and people I've met once on another journey overseas. I also love online communities (like Patreon, Kickstarter, AirBnB etc) and the ways new technologies bring people together. I've always wanted to check out Couchsurfing and now's my chance. I'm not saying I don't use travel agents or tours (I quite like Intrepid actually) but why use a middle man when communities can connect through online platforms?

Books: Anything by Australian fantasy author Isobelle Carmody. Phillip Pullman novels, Agatha Christie, Juliet Marillier original Sevenwaters trilogy, A Series of Unfortunate Events

I went to the final Harry Potter film premiere in London once. I've self-published a poetry novella. But more seriously, studying at Oxford University's Exeter College was pretty amazing!!!
