Hi, my name is Maureen and I'm a 23 year old girl from the Netherlands who loves to travel (I mainly stay in hostels/guesthouses and I would like to try couchsurfing too), learn about other cultures, trying different kind of foods, photographing (amateur (both digital and analog) and hanging out with friends. I just graduated with a bachelors degree in social sciences and I'm now working as a policymaker employed by the municipality of Zuidplas (near Rotterdam). From February 2018 untill July 2018 I plan to travel through several countries. My first stop will be Iran, in March I'll travel to Malaysia and in April I go to Perth (Australia) to visit my family. After visiting my family I'll fly to Singapore and stay there for 11 days. In May and June I'll visit Japan, do some voluntary work at a hostel in Osaka for about a month and after that travel for 2 weeks. To end my 6 month trip I'll spend about 3 weeks in South Korea and fly back to Amsterdam via Hong Kong, where I plan to stay for a couple of days. I'm really excited and I hope to meet a lot of new friends from different countries and cultures.
