ABOUT Maureen and Jeff
We are an adventurous family of four (but our two girls are currently in the US and NZ). Our home, which we call "Koru Cottage," is on a quiet country road about 20 minutes equidistant from Burlington, Cambridge, Hamilton, Milton and Guelph. Spending time with new friends and learning about the world through travel, international development work, and hosting is what we are all about. We try to maintain an irrationally optimistic view of humans. We hope to be able to enjoy your company at Koru Cottage and do some payback for all the generosity we have encountered during our years of travelling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have hosted a lot more than surfed, as you can see. We like to "travel like humans", and CS delivers this. Who would ever stay in a hotel if they could do this?

We have been lucky enough to travel widely and live and work in several countries -- so there are lots of stories to be told! But we would rather hear yours.

Teach, Learn, Share

You never know what you might learn from a surfer or a host! We can share our little bit of knowledge about the the places we have been privileged to live. We are engaged in international development work and we enjoy sharing experiences around partnering with people in less developed or functional societies to improve their wellbeing. We are veterinarians: clinical professors specializing in farm animals and horses -- so if you are into those sorts of things, we can help!

While you stay at Koru Cottage you will be part of our family and that's how you'll be treated (for better or worse!)
