ABOUT US

We used to live in San Francisco, but now live in Izmir, Turkey. In Izmir, we volunteer with refugees, teach English, and enjoy traveling and experiencing another culture.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We host when we can, and surf when we are abroad!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had the best experiences with Couchsurfing. Mo discovered couchsurfing when she took a 7 week trip to Europe with some friends. Mo and her sister Mel then continued to host about 15 different couchsurfing groups while they shared an apartment in the last few years. A few years back, we couchsurfed in Israel and had a great time with Noa in Haifa and Mike in Tel Aviv. Most recently, we were hosted by Yahya in Istanbul, who showed us incredible hospitality and an amazing night out.

All kinds of movies except horror! Classic and international films are favorites. All kinds of music. Zac is a music fiend constantly finding music from all over the world, and Mo is obsessed with Jack White. Lots of books, Zac mostly likes nonfiction and Mo likes fiction. Read The Beach!!! It's the best traveling thriller book ever.

Zac likes to talk politics and loves to make mix CDs of bands you've never heard of. Mo can teach you how to sew or knit. From both of us you can count on conversation into the night.
