Hi! You can call me Mauri. I adore traveling the world and am currently looking forward to visiting Norway in August.
I have been all around the world but still feel like I have hardly scratched the surface. Favorite places include Istanbul, Cape Town, Amsterdam, Nicaragua, and Orcas Island (USA). Favorite travel experiences include couchsurfing in Galway, Ireland with some local college students who taught us a bunch of Irish slang while we tried to describe the phenomenon that is graham crackers... boating off the coast of Oman and playing with beautiful double-finned dolphins... getting inked by an octopus in Playa Samara, Costa Rica... living in Milan for Erasmus (study abroad)... sailing through the Greek Islands!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've traveled through couchsurfing since 2011 but had to start a new profile after changing emails >.< I've always had amazing experiences. I love meeting new people and experiencing their cities through a local's perspective. Through couchsurfing I learn things I would never learn by staying in a hotel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed up Skeleton Gorge to get to the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa, through rain and up a waterfall... Most intense experience of my life. Found out afterwards that many people die on that climb... oops!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a very tidy guest. I'll probably ask you to take me to your favorite restaurant and then pay for your meal. Hospitality in return for hospitality!
