My name is Maurice, I am a 21 year-old student. I study political sciences in Bordeaux. I am curious, open-minded, and I plan working within a cultural structure abroad (like a theater or a festival) after my graduation in 2017. Today I prepare my travel to the USA, where I will spent the next year, working as an intern in a Theater in LA.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Next september, I start an internship at Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz in LA for nine month. I am also looking for someone interested in French culture who would enjoy hosting an enthusiastic and neighborly French student for a few days at the end of august, the time I find a room to rent in the city (the sooner, the better, but I would be very happy to keep in touch with you after I move to my room !).

兴趣

I am fond of sailing (especially windsurf), litterature, I also enjoy history, movies, and I am pretty interested in trecking, skiing, and almost all kind of sports (I would be glad to find somebody enjoying surf, running, sailing, who I could go surfing/running with in LA). I am very curious and I hope to discover plenty of things during my stay at your place !

About music : I grew up listening the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Manu Chao and Daft Punk. Then I met Gainsbourg, Jack Johnson and Neil Young. After that, I began listening to Eminem, Lou Reed and Parov Stelar. Today, I enjoy Patti Smith, Dr Dre and Stromae. I have very diversified musical tastes !
About movies : Star Wars was my favorite movie when I was a child, then I discover Billy Wilder's filmography. That was a very strong discovery (Some like it hot, Stalag 17, One, Two, Three...). Brokeback Montain, MUD, Laurence of Arabia are also movies that stroke me.
About books : I really enjoyed Dostoïevski (Crime and Punishment), Milan Kundera (The Unbearable Lightness of Being), Kerouac (On the road)...
