Hey , I am Maurice! I'm a 18 years old tourism student from Brussels in Belgium.

I like travelling to the off beaten/ unknown destinations of the world where other tourists don't go. The regions where I love to travel/ want to discover is Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Arabic world. I'm very interested in Slavic cultures because I'm half Polish.

I started travelling alone around Europe on the age of 14 and since then always searching for a bit of adventure. I met many different people on a young age on my travels and I got in touch with a lot of nationalities. I learned to be still more social much due to travelling and while on a trip!

I have regions where I'm really interested in but know every country is unique to me!!!

I am a "new" member on couchsurfing, since 2024 to be more specific.

I am om couchsurfing because I want to meet and talk to people about their country and their culture , it is all fascinating! I hope to meet many interesting/ new people on this platform and I am always happy to show my country to you if you come to Belgium!!

Interests

I enjoy reading thriller books. I'm currently writing a book about my travels when I was travelling alone as a child. Love to learn languages each day! Languages are important to me because I definitely want to communicate (even a bit) with the locals when I'm abroad.

I like to learn every day about new things in general, I'm eager to learn and always a bit curious.

My other hobbies are playing tennis and swimming once a week, swimming makes me zen and relaxed.
