Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is a great alternative for travelling. And I mean travelling in a sense of Travel and not in a sense of Holiday.

There is no way to get a better impression of a place then beeing in contact with people living somewhere you are going. It's not like that typical hotel stuff, where everyone just doing their jobs in order to present themselves as good as possible.

So Couchsurfing is probably a good platform to find people with a similiar attitude. People who want so see the world, people who want to explore as much as they can, people who want to meet others and get another impression of the world. At least I hope it is like that.

Centres d'intérêt

There are so many things I love to do. I love to write about the Trips I do, I always have my sketch and notebook with me, which is filled with all the things I've seen and experienced.

But my biggest love is propably my Camera, which accompanied always during my travels and never let me down. I try to catch the place I go as good as I can, speaking with locals trying to make new acquaintances and friend, trying to understand why they love their place or why not.

And I also love Music. Well I am not the best Musician in the World, but sometimes I take my guitar, or play a bit on my drumset.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I would'nt say that I have a favorite Music Genre. I hear almost everything - as long as it's good. I might have a hidden love for Punkrock, 60s, and 90s, but I get along with most of the music of the past.

When it comes to Movies and TV Shows I have to admit my addiction. There are so many Movies I've seen so far, and I think no minute was wasted.

I also read a book from time to time. One of my favorite book was The Glass Castle which was written by Jeanette Walls, but also the old masters like Goethe, Schiller or Büchner are my beloved writers.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

There is a bunch of amazing things I've done so far. I hope it's alright to mention more then one thing in this section.

When I've been in Israel at the swelling river of jordan, there has been a squad of Israeli Soldier running along the river with all their Equipment. It was over quite hot - over 40° C, and they really outstripped me.

In Istanbul a few years ago I was going thorugh the quarter of Fener. It is known as a quite poor quarter in the city, but I met two beatufiul children, who played behind a fridge in the middle of the street. They waved in my direction while I took a picture of them. Later I met some other Kids and I invited them to eat some Börek with me, after they showed me some of their street.

I also have been in Greece some time ago. After I drove through more or less the whole country, I spent the last days in Athens. It was the time when Greece were stuck in the middle of a financial crisis, and the university were all occupied. One evening I met some Greeks, telling me about their situations. I tried to get into a university somehow and they invited me for a ride with their scooter showing me the city a bit. So I got a private Ride throught Athens. On a Scooter.

I would say that I see some things in the years. I lived abroad, spend most of my time in different parts of the world. I know quite a lot of people in all different parts of the world. I love to share my experiences and my impressions. But also I am always open to offer a helping hand no matter what.
