About Me

'I am going to be away from 3/3 till 1/4/19'

I am a 48 year old man who was born and bred in Sao Paulo, Brazil and now live in United Kingdom.
I have been travelling since young age, when I used to go camping with the lads. I have got the travelling bug since.
I am an easy going person; who like nature, beaches, a cold beer, good food and a nice chat.
I like to learn about other cultures, music, food, drinks and the most important of them all 'local people'.
Around 10 years ago I sold my car and cancelled my cable TV, bought a push bike. This is my 7th year with an allotment, I have been trying to grow some the food I eat. My plan is to move to the country where I can grow my own food, raise some animals for eggs/milk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been travelling before internet, when you could meet people in hotel/hostel lobbies or even a bus stop around the planet. Now, people stay connected on their devices and it is hard to connect to people.
So, I thought to use internet to meet locals, travel and have fun. I have met people who use couchsurfing and, actually, a couple who got married while couchsurfing.
I believe that it is going to be nice experience, as I am a very sociable/chatty person I would like to meet nice, like minded people from all walks of life. I might see you around.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all sorts of music but I have to say my weakness go to rock and roll and movies I like from Star Wars to Kong Fu Panda but I have to say one of my favourites is 'The Shawshank Redemption (1994)'. Mostly of my reading was law related books and nowadays, I would prefer to read technical books than romances. I have to say Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe (translated to Portuguese) stuck to my mind.
