ABOUT ME

I'm from New Orleans, where I work as a civil rights attorney, which consumes much of my time, but is far from defining me. I'm first generation in this country, and while I embody much of what embodies those from this place by virtue of growing up and living here, I still very much feel like a stranger.

I'm a poet and practice that craft quite a bit, though I'm branching out into fiction, but good lord it's hard to be original.

I'm very curious...about just about everything. Love challenging myself to do things that make me afraid.

I love observing, meeting, talking with strangers in strange lands and otherwise - there's a lot of wisdom in this world...

I moved back to New Orleans after a long absence following Hurricane Katrina, to go back to school and now work as a civil rights attorney in Louisiana. I love enjoying the company of my neighbors and writing as often as I'm inspired to do so. I live in mid city right near the bayou where the sunsets are everything. Get at me and let's see if I got a couch for ya!

Interests

I'm passionate about justice, poetry and chess. I love delving deep into what makes us human, and exploring where our humanity intersects with technology. I love sunsets and getting into the nitty gritty of this beaut we call life.

Love to hike, though i'm scared of heights...I try and push the limits though

Having grown up mostly between the French Quarter and Mid_City, I know lots about New Orleans, and love sharing that knowledge. I love to talk about writing, and the state of poetry; are you a poet? I've got a typewriter; lets write together!

I love cooking and eating good food - healthy mostly, and err...not so much :)

If the spirit moves ya, we can talk about the law, though it's mostly a pretty dry subject, buuuuut its my life, so I'm game!
