About Me

Hello,

We are Mary, Murilo and Mauricio family from Brazil, sitting a property from a Workaway host for a few months in Sandy Lake - Manitoba. We are very happy and grateful to have the opportunity to be part of Workaway!

More than 35 years traveling and 12 years hosting, working with logistics, cabinetmaking, marketing, social media, customer service and hospitality. +200 recommendations and references.

We are looking to have a local experience and learn, live like locals and know about your way of life.

We are very interested now in natural technics to construct a home like earthships, earthbags, superadobe, hyperadobe, alternative bathroom without water in toilet waste, permaculture, solar, windy and hidro power, alternative power banks like the use of old EV batteries to store energy or sand / water batteries, and so on. Looking forward too to learn about homestead, land / property to buy.

We also do volunteer work with NGOs who fight against hunger, poverty and homelessness, in addition we are blood and organs donor. We donate food every week to people who are in food insecure in our neighborhood. Furthermore, we donate to humanitarian organizations like the WFP (World Food Program) of the United Nations and Share the Meal, that fights against hunger and poverty around the world, also we donate to NGO projects Reasons to Believe (Razões Para Acreditar). We believe that we have to give back to the society part of what we have earned with our privileges and we have the goal of helping to end hunger in the world, in Canada we want to do volunteer work too and teach Portuguese.
