About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Show the world the unknown wonder : I!
Improve my knowledge of South America before I go wanderlusting there!

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Lyon, France but I spent almost all of my teenage years in Mali. Everywhere I go, I fell like I were at home and in foreign country at the same time. So I want to pull myself together by travelling.
I am the opposite of shy and I hate shyness! Though a little bit of shyness could be cute but it is a useless feeling when it comes to meet people.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and learn.
We all have our own points of view on something.
It is impossible to know the world only by reading a book. So get up and go looking with your own eyes.
I try to learn a new thing or a new word everyday. I don't believe I would die as the most intelligent man on Earth but at least I would know a lot of things.

You invite me over = I COME. As simple as that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to save and upgrade the French reputation all around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met people to improve my Spanish and Portuguese.
Twice I have met people to go around with and get the heads up about the city I was visiting

Interests

I've got 3 religions : Football, Partying and Travelling.
I want to learn how to surf, play the saxophon and master all latin dances.
I already dance Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba but I am still far from being an expert in those things. So I need to add Samba and Tango to my resume.
Last year I was focused on dancing, this year I will focus on surfing.
One step at the time, I am achieving my goals.
I like learning new languages in order to travel. But I almost gave up with Arabic, Chinese and Corean so my wife-to-be would have a lot to do!(we are supposed to share everything, aren't we?). I have met a lot of hispanic persons this past year then my Spanish is actually getting better.
I dream of going to Brazil and visit the countries nearby since I was 5 years old and it is about to come true (finally in february 2020 - text originally written in 2014)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an african background that could explain why I love dancing so much. As long as I can shake my hips, it is all good for me :
Electronic Music, French Touch, House, Hip Hop, Afrobeats, Kizomba, Dancehall, Latin Music.
I also like Pop rock, Brazilian music & Jazz.

I am a real cinephile. Didn't I tell you I was born in Lyon, capital of the good french food and birthplace of the 7th art?
I have improved my language skills by oftenly watching movies and series in original version, even if the serie is japanese.
I can write down a few movies names :
Forrest Gump, Green line, Gladiator, Titanic, Black Swan, Training day, Enter The Dragon, Cidade de Deus, La vita è bella...
L'auberge espagnole & co, Mesrine, Un Prophète, le Grand Chemin, Bal Poussière...
All Tarantino's movies, Scorcese's ones, Kubric's ones, Almodovar's ones.
I cannot miss a movie with Di Caprio, Denzel Washington, Michael Fassbender, Tom Hanks, Kate Blanchet or Christine Scott Thomas.

I love TV.
The Shield, The Wire, OZ, Breakin Bad, Law & Order, Justified, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Damages, The Tudors, Nip/Tuck, American Horror Story, Entourage, Friends, 30 rock, TBBT, Engrenages

I only read A Song of Ice and Fire("Game of Thrones" books).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I had a small snake in my blanket in Mali.

In June 2011, I was visiting a friend in London, we met a French guy near the Chinatown district. He wanted to send a text message to his friend but he could not because his sim card was locked.
So we helped him out.
Then we started to discuss about our past travels. I told him I really wanted to go to Madrid. Guess what? This guy was living in Madrid. So he invited me over the week after.
My friend was like "Don't go Mo, you gonna put yourself in a bad situation, for a second, just imagine you go there, it's a trap and somebody steals your kidney or even worse...What am I gonna say to your mother?"

Nothing bad happens to me. Here I stand, with all my fingers. It was my best trip ever!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can promise you that I always go to the coolest places.
I teached Maths and French in a junior school in Mali. Then if you want to exchange your Brazilian Portuguese / Spanish for my French / English, do not hesitate
