About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I plan to keep on moving. I need changes, as change is life.

ABOUT ME

Hello everyone,
I am an expat from Rome, just moved to The Hague / Den Haag in the Netherlands for a new job. I believe I'm a trustworthy guy, with lots of humor and interest in people, particularly international minded.

PHILOSOPHY

Under development ;)

Main goal: have a life worth living

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Except for joining some CS events (Rome, Milan, Turin, Sweden ...), I usually enjoy the opportunity to meet local travellers, sharing information and stories, and learning a lot from them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For now I've been hosted once (Matt, in Graz), and started hosting in Rome and Turin. I also joined local events and met travellers and expats.

Interests

In general I have many subject I enjoy discussing, and even more I don't know well enough and I love to hear about!
My main passion is definitely music, I played drums, percussions and any "beatable" object, people around me notice that pretty quickly.
Then, traveling, good movies, languages, different cultures, science (maths, physics, astronomy, biology), technology, economy, the Web, and many more..

Music, Movies, and Books

Music would be a big chapter, I enjoy different styles from rock, to metal, funky, avantguarde, some underground stuff, classic. Generally I enjoy some not-too-commercial type of music, as I find more meaning and uniqueness. Favourite bands: Tool, Porcupine Tree, Faith No More, Radiohead, A Perfect Circle, Mr. Bungle, The Beatles (oh yes).
My approach to movies is similar, so if it's the right night I may enjoy intense, deep movies... but also brilliant comedies like "Shaun of the Dead"!
Fav series: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Shameless, True Blood, Dexter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got quite some funny stories to tell...

Dog sledge and also bathed naked in a frozen lake, in Swedish Lapland, at -10° C
Midnight sun in the Northest point of Europe, Nordkapp in Norway
Crazy stories from 2 trips to Japan, I can't find a quick way to say how AMAZING that country is.
Hanging out with 2 Iranian students in Turin, pretending to be Iranian as welland fooling many Italians (same thing when a Californian friend came over)
Join an orchestra of 40 crazy students in Sweden and going around for gigs

Teach, Learn, Share

I really like to share knowledge and facts in my areas of interest, which occasionally leads to deep conversations :-) but I still like to chill too, why so serious??

On the other hand, I just LOVE to listen to other people, know their habits, thoughts and stories, like a kid when a fairy tale is told. That's a way I connect with someone, but also random partying and chilling can create a similar chance to start a real contact with someone.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you've read until here, you probably have some ideas of what you'd get from meeting me :) I'm sure we can have a nice time, just as much as you feel like it.
