Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'd like to teach the little I know about insects, thus demonstrating that they are not disgusting creatures, but amazing animals on the planet.
ABOUT ME
Italian, open minded, happy. Creepy crawlies fan.
PhD student in Biological Sciences in one of the most beautiful cities we have in this milky way...Sydney. A wild, uncompromising and multicultural place like no other.
Willing to learn every day from other people and different situations.
Just as everyone here I love to travel :)
PHILOSOPHY
Actions speak louder than words.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started Couchsurfing when I was studying in England in 2013. It was incredible how much it helped me! I visited plenty of cities in the United Kingdom and met amazing people with which I shared my previous experiences. I learned a huge lesson.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been a surfer in Manchester, Liverpool, London, Cardiff, Bristol, Edinburgh.
I've met locals also in Newport, Birmingham, Glasgow and at Stonehenge.
I hosted travellers several times.
Interests
I love nature! My PhD is about agriculture, environment and food sciences. I'm focusing my studies on insects and their use in biological control, so I'm supposed to become an entomologist.
Of course I love travel and visit foreign countries.
Interested also in yoga, meditaton, eastern philosophies and vegetarian cuisine.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm interested in music festivals and good music not necessarily in specific groups and genre, but I really like reggae, ska and folk music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I attended "La Tomatina" in Buñol, a huge tomato battle known all around the world..all against all!
I went to "Stonehenge Summer Solstice Festival", an absolutely unique event with pagan rituals and an international meditation of 90 minutes.
I met Dolly the sheep in the Scottish National Museum (I'm keen of science).
I drank a beer in the most famous pub in the world, The Cavern in Liverpool.
I climbed Pico Volcano, a tall mountain right in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. On the top, looking south, 9000 miles away there's the Antarctica with no lands in between.
I stepped on Capelinho, a fresh new portion of Faial Island that was formed by an eruption only in the 50's.
I milked a cow with my hands and then drank her milk. It's a small thing, but do it and you'll see.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my culture first. Ok this doesn't mean that I can only deal with the kitchen (no cookbook needed), but maybe an Italian dinner is a good start. I know many people are pasta lovers!
If you have ever wondered how a cute ladybug can be such a killer machine, or how can we sterilize males fruit flies and thus corrupt their reproductive system...you will hear from me lots of interesting stories!
