About Me

I make music, engage in photography and enjoy writing as a pastime. I've tried different fields of study (Business and Computer Science) but moved on. I'm taking a break from university this semester but I still study the subject of American History because it interests me, and broadens my perspective in many ways.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Goes without saying, traveling is the best school there is.

I grew up and still live in Belgium but I've always loved traveling, discovering new cultures and spending time with locals. That's one of the reasons why I'm on Couchsurfing.
I'm planning a few exciting trips in the near future, amongst them a journey from St. Petersburg to Beijing on the Trans Siberian Express.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorites are hard to come up with, but I do enjoy music with character and attitude. Think Black Sabbath, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Faith No More, Led Zeppelin, ...

I'm a movie enthusiast but I don't call any favorites. What I can tell you is that the work of artists like Joel and Ethan Coen inspire me to think further than a regular blockbuster.

I enjoy reading, but I'm not always reading books or novels. A lot of my free time is spent reading articles on subjects I'm interested in. Right now on my nightstand is the autobiography of Marilyn Manson: The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell. He doesn't appear as one, but he certainly is one of the greater rockstar writers out there, with an abundance of wit.
Throughout my entire youth I read novels by Agatha Christie and the occasional Belgian masterpiece by one or two of the few more vulgar writers of this country. (If you'd like to know: Herman Brusselmans and Dimitri Verhulst).
