About Me

Hi! My name is Mauro, I am an history professor and researcher. I am 26 years and i live at Buenos Aires. I am startyng a Phd in medieval history. I love teaching, and histoty it´s my passion. I love european history, but i also like very much argentinian and latinamerican history.
I also like to cook. I enjoy to play the guitar, but i´m not a great singer.
I enjoy sports, specially futbol. I support Racing Club from Avellaneda.
I´m really outgoing, i really like to talk a listen.

Argentinian rock: La renga, Patricio Rey y sus redonditos de ricota, Charly García, Luis Laberto Spinetta, among others.
Tango: Piazolla, Goyeneche, Julio Sosa.
Folclore: Duo Salteño, Mercedes Sosa.
International Rock: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Radiohead.
Movies: I like a lot of movies, my favorite is the godfather.
Books: Also a lot. I think that my favorite is Rayuela, of Julio Cortazar. Also i love Garcia Marquez´s Cien Años de Soledad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling around Perú, specially walking the Inca´s Path from Cuzco to Machu Pichu. It was a 4 day walk trough the mountain, whit some friends. I have a photo of that in my profile.
I also expend more than two months travelling alone around europe and meeting new people and cultures. It was incredible.
I don´t kwow if this is amazing, but a i go every day to teach history to teenagers and is a very nice challenge.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about my culture, the music of my country, tango, folklore. As a history teacher, i always like to talk about the history of my country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with my hosts my free time, i love to talk of everything. Specially if you came on a week end i can show you around the city, and go to some places that are very cool, but aren´t part of the traditional places, so most tourists doesn´t visit.
