I'm Mauro, an Italian sailor! In november 2017 I quit my "office" job for sailing around the world! Best decision ever :) Canarias, CaboVerde, Caribe, Panamà, Galapagos, Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia... and so on hitchhiking boats towards west till Italy.

I love nature, meeting good people, discovering new places. Not good in making profiles online hehehe.

We only have one life: enjoy it as much as possible, it can be amazing!
We only have one earth: respect it as much as possible.
And be friendly with all the human beings in the universe :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new people and learn about different cultures and lifestyles.

It's not about saving money (that is also good especially when travelling for long periods), but it really is about meeting good people and listen to their inspiring thoughts or amazing stories and share nice moments together :)

Now I am on a long travel and I do not have a house hehehehe but as soon as i'll be back I will open the doors of my house to all the adventurous travellers!

Interests

Outdoor activities (sailing and hiking overall) and sports, good music, saying stupid things while having a drink, art, travelling.
I do improv theatre matches! And I play the guitar at a basic level.

Music: indie rock, rock from the 70s, electro jazzy funky stuff, Italians (tipo De Andrè, Silvestri, Frankie Hi Energie, Dalla).
Movies: fantascience, dysthopian, true stories, dramas. And cool animations like Miyazaki or inandout.
Books: whatever. What inspiring people suggest me. Last one I loved: A little life.
