ABOUT ME

Hi! my name is Maurice, a young man with many interest. The greatest thing in my life is my daugher Rosa, she is a living angel on earth. My passion is music, but I also love people. There are people in all sort of sizes, colours, ages, styles etc and that is what I find interesting: meeting all this different kind of people.

At the moment I'm not able to host couchsurfers since I live temporary at my fathers place.

In 2009 I graduated as a social worker, since then I worked a lot with refugees who escaped their home country; and as a social worker I also worked on Sint Eustatius and Saba in the Carribean. During the weekends I transform into a dj and bartender, so no boring days in my life.

Last few years I also did several courses and studies, like TEFL (teaching English), Neurolymphatic & abdominal massage, Reiki 1, and at the moment I am finishing the Montessori Lower Elementary Teacher study.

I lived 5 months in Spain, Valencia, and this was the start of finding more new cultures. I like to hitchhike or move to new cities in low budget style, in that way it stays a big adventure every time!
like I've said, music is my passion! producing trance/house/yoga music, mixing all kinds of styles and go to the best dance gigs is worth dying for (figurely speaking of course)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to go to new cities all over the world, so i'd like to meet other couchsurfers. Of Course I also like to offer my own comfortable couch :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted people from China, Austria, Italy, Poland, Australia and such. I met Lila in Nepal and stayed for one week at here lovely orphanage. Further stayed at several couches (well actually a lot of them were beds) in Australia, Stockholm, Paris, Krakow, Gödöllö and Budapest. I love it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Becoming a father after a miraculous home birth, volunteering at a Waldorf/Montessori school in Portugal and helping out on a small farm, living and working on two different Carribean islands, walking in the mountains in complete silence in Mongolia, holding monk hands in Tibet, working at orphanage in Nepal, drive a motorbike in Vietnam, snorkeling at night in Cambodia, riding the East Coast of Australia with a camper van and all the love and goodness I may encounter during this life all over the world.
