Engineer. Vegan. Curious and passionate about ecological balance.

I was born and brought up in an urban setup. However, owing to a rich exposure to multiple activities and activity groups, I grew up to become more conscious about human intervention that adversely impacts ecological balance. I am usually curious about everything around, and am decent at striking conversations with almost anyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel frequently for work, and am based in Nagpur. I am here to be able to continue meeting interesting people, either as a host, or as a CouchSurfer myself.

Interests

Over the last eight years, I have been volunteering independently towards causes related to various civic issues such as Animal Rights, Road and Public Safety, Urban Solid Waste Management, Education, etc. For four years, I have been networking with local farmers and villagers in general, to understand the benefits of a rural setup. I also focus on low tech engineering, compassionate living, wellness and fitness in general. For the last five years, I have been volunteering towards open education.

I intend to put low tech appliances (which work on natural forms of energy and which do not need electricity) into better living standards and then experiment this lifestyle at a rural setup in central India. I also intend to put an open learning environment together, in Nagpur.

If all that does not sound mainstream, I have helped build an early stage software startup into a profitable growth stage company, before I exited as the Chief Technology Officer in December 2017. I am onto building social enterprises to facilitate sustenance to all the above initiatives. :)
