ABOUT ME

I am an English emigrant who moved to Wellywood, NZ in 2005 and pretty much stayed ever since. The lifestyle here compared to London is a lot better - less crowded, slower pace of life, more outdoor activities available but best of all the friendly peoples.
I love bikes.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have hosted over 100 people back in 2011 when I was living by myself. Then I took off for 6 months biking through South America and stayed with a few people. Now I'm back in NZ but sharing a house and we don't have a spare bed..yet

Interests

I'm interested in mountain biking (theres loads of cool tracks around here), snowboarding, fishing, swimming. I've also started a bit of DIY soap making, beer brewing and once tried cheese making too. I enjoy cooking most meals from scratch - no microwave TV dinners for me.
I try to live leaving a low impact on the earth.

Music, Movies, and Books

Like action movies but more and more I am watching small indie films that usually only appear at film festivals.
I'm a pretty slow reader so don't get through many books but like to mix non-fiction with the odd bit of comedy

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove a London taxi all the way to Mongolia for a charity.
I cycled from Santiago to Columbia. Solo
