I'm a kind and compassionate person with lust for life and a playful nature. Active and energetic, but also considerate and easy going, I have a versatile personality that gets on with a range of people.

My love of music has taken me to play in bands, produce music, DJ at clubs, present radio shows and put on nights with friends. Its always been a big part of my life. If it stays silent for long enough you will probably hear me start to sing :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The experience mainly. Meeting locals is one of the best ways to experience the vibe and culture in places you have not been. I love the idea of immersing myself within a city, rather than just travelling through. It feels special to get the opportunity to stay with someone who knows the city, has there own choice places to go. Also being someone who really enjoys connecting with people, this just seems like a very organic way to travel and meet people.

I'm about to start a journey from Panama to Mexico, volunteering at animal conservation projects and staying with locals, and couchsurfing.com was recommended to me by a friend. As soon as she described how it worked I knew I wanted to participate.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some artists that have always had a special place in my heart are Amon Tobin, Born Ruffians, Yaggfu Front, Lorn, Plaid, Siriusmo, Vulfpeck, Peter Tosh, Clark, Nils Frahm and Oneohtrix Point Never. Through doing radio shows for 10 years I have a pretty extensive knowledge of music, mainly leaning towards more underground music. More well known favourites would be Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Radiohead, A Tribe Called Quest and Deftones.

Films are again a strong passion of mine, but a lot easier to pick some of my Favourites. Green Room, Skills Like This, Ghostbusters, The Way Way Back, Die Hard, Tekkon Kinkreet and 24/7. I love independent gritty, dark thrillers/horrors and social realistic dramas, but also on the flip-side love animated movies and cartoons.

My favourite books are The Beach, Battle Royal and The Encyclopedia of Human Emotions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At a young age I performed in a choir, and sang a solo to around 1000 people in a cathedral in Brittany, France.

Currently learning spanish, interested in Latin culture and embarking on a journey to get closer to nature. Anything within these parameters are paramount to my trip. But I really do enjoy peoples passions. If your passionate about it, I would love to listen and learn.
