Hi! My name is Max Butler, and I am a fourth-year medical student at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. When I'm not in classes or studying, I love to go hiking, play clarinet, play piano, sing karaoke, play tennis, toss a frisbee, do crossword puzzles, swim (especially in lakes), and hang out with friends. I also love to travel, which I unfortunately have not been able to do as much as I would have liked these past few years. In Spring 2016, I spent a semester studying in the Universidad Austral de Chile in Valdivia, Chile.

Hola!! Me llamo Max Butler, y es mi último año como estudiante de medicina en la University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Cuando no estoy estudiando o en clase, me gusta hacer trekking, tocar el clarinete, tocar el piano, cantar karaoke, jugar al tenis, tirar un disco, hacer crucigramas, nadar (especialmente en lagos) y pasar tiempo con amigos. Además, me encanta viajar, pero desafortunadamente he tenido pocas oportunidades para hacerlo durante estos últimos 4 años. En la primavera de 2016, pasé un semestre como estudiante en la Universidad Austral de Chile en Valdivia, Chile.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The collaboration and hospitality that can be found on Couchsurfing are beautiful. I love the idea of travelers helping each other out and being able to share experiences. Though I cannot host people at this time, I plan to open my doors to the wide world of Couchsurfing when I settle down a bit. I have had wonderful experiences staying at other people's houses through Couchsurfing and I want to contribute to this amazing community. I am excited to continue meeting new people and experiencing new things through Couchsurfing!

La colaboración y la hospitalidad que se encuentran en Couchsurfing son geniales. Me encanta el concepto de un sitio web que permite que los viajeros se apoyen y compartan experiencias. Aunque no puedo ofrecer hospedaje en este momento, pienso hacerlo en cuanto tenga mi propia casa. He tenido experiencias maravillosas con la gente de Couchsurfing y quiero contribuir a esta comunidad hermosa. Tengo muchas ganas de continuar conociendo a nueva gente y experimentando nuevas cosas a través de Couchsurfing!
