ABOUT ME

I have been moving around all my life. When I lived with my parents I lived in The Netherlands, Washington D.C and San Diego. As soon as I left home I went to Costa Rica for a gap year then to Scotland for my first year of university year and a year after that to Miami for a year abroad.
Needless to say I love to travel and meeting new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have stayed with one very friendly man in Springfield Massachusetts. A very pleasant experience so far!

Interests

My main interest is Physics, Astro-Physics to be precise. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a game of football (soccer), basketball or field hockey. I watch quite some series and read some books.
Going out to a good club is my favourite way to get away from school and just listen and dance to music.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite directors are Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarentino. I like any kind of movie really from Sci-Fi to feel good movies to Horror to Drama. Music has it's phases for me, in general I stick to minimal techno and deep house, but I switch to indie/rock/alternative every now and then. Books have to make me think for me to enjoy them, Malcolm Gladwell, Dan Brown, Stephen Hawking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 3 months in Costa Rica as a volunteer. I worked in an orphanage and helped kids with their homework, laundry and did activities with them. I came to Costa Rica without a word of Spanish in my head. I lived with a Costa Rican family and learnt the language quickly. After volunteering I traveled all over Costa Rica and seen amazing waterfalls, volcanoes, islands, beaches and much more.

Teach, Learn, Share

anything about the universe and the physics behind it. So perhaps I can shed some light on people eager to know a little more about that. My language skills are decent, I try to practice my French, Spanish and little bit of German wherever I go, even a little Russian. I would love to learn more about those languages or something completely new.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Not much of a cook, and besides there are no nice Dutch traditional meals. However I can offer a couple of pints and hopefully some laughs!
