ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Max, I'm positive, sociable and a little bit crazy/unusual person :) I like traveling, discovering new countries and meeting interesting people. Also I like music, cycling, hitch-hiking, life in the open air, urban exploration, collecting gas masks, dark beer, and my girlfriend Stacie :)

At the moment I live in Minsk, so I can show you our city and its tourists attractions. Or some interesting abandoned buildings, unusual places, local bars, pubs and breweries. So, if you want to visit Belarus - feel free to contact me! I can speak English, Polish, Russian and Belarusian.

P.S. If you ask my girlfriend, she would say I'm fucking awesome. She insisted to put this phrase to my profile, but in fact, maybe she's right :D

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Basically I try to help people to discover our country and its capital - Minsk. It's very interesting for me to show our city and its tourists attractions. Or some interesting abandoned buildings, unusual places, local bars, pubs and breweries. So, if you want to visit Belarus - feel free to contact me!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in Poland, Lithuania, Russia and Ukraine a lot of times. In other European countries in most cases I used some cheap hostels or lived with my friends.

I have hosted in Minsk people from Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia and Ukraine.

My the most "strange" Couchsurfing experience - about 20 people in one small room in Kiev/Ukraine, without beds, sleeping bags or blankets. It was terrible surprise for me, but very funny :)

兴趣

I have a lot of interests and hobbies. At first, I like traveling, discovering new countries and cities. So, this year I've visited about 15 European countries.

Also I like cycling. In summer I use my bike every day, goin' to work, or to some interesting trips. Every year I pass thousands of kilometers on my bike.

One more hobby - urban exploration: finding some abandoned industrial places, catacombs, factories and so on. I have my own project on this theme - http://www.abandoned-legacy.net and you can see there about 200 abandoned places in 5 countries that I've explored the last 5 years.

One of important parts of my life is music. I organize cultural events in Belarus: industrial, hardcore, rhythmic noise and other experimental parties. Also I promote Belarusian industrial/undeground music all over Europe and organize trips to famous European festivals. You can check site of my promo group - http://industrial-madness.com

音乐、电影和书籍

My musical taste is very wide: it can vary from easy listening synthpop, future pop, IDM or trip-hop to some kinds of very "hard" music like old school digital hardcore, mainstream hardcore, harsh noise or power electronics. I like a lot of genres of some industrial/experimental stuff - like tribal industrial, dark ambient, rhythmic noise, EBM and other "underground" electronic music.
In the last few years I've visited very big amount of different industrial and electronic hardcore festivals around the all Europe: in Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Lithuania, Slovakia, and so on.
At all, the music is one of the most important things in my life. So, besides listening to it I also organize cultural events in Belarus and promote Belarusian industrial/undeground music all over Europe.

As for the movies - my favourite one is "Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain". But mostly I like space fantasy, both classic (Forbidden Planet/1956, The Thing from Another World/1951) and contemporary (Event Horizon/1997, Moon/2009) films. Also I'm a fan of the "Star Wars" saga.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The most crazy things that I've done in my life are connected with my urban exploration hobby: illegal climb on peak of 100 meters tube by rusty stairs, or descent deep under ground into subway tunnels, or living in some abandoned factories in different countries with my sleeping bag, or infiltration into secret military bases...and so on :)

I have very good skills of cheap traveling - low cost airlines, buses, cheaps hostels, bars, shops, and all other information you need for cheap travels in Europe.
