Quantum physicist turned AI researcher. I get bored easily though so I always like to meet new people and try new stuff.
My Instagram account probably gives a pretty good idea of what I'm into: https://www.instagram.com/mffrenzel/

“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” - Mark Twain

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pretty much everything from Jazz to punk rock to Metalcore. Love live music. Some of my current favourite bands: Architects, La Dispute, Listener, Nujabes, Dir en Grey, Bonobo, Hiromi Uehara, Tom Waits, Transplants, Rancid, Into It. Over It., Maximum the Hormone, Bring me the Horizon, Memphis May Fire, blessthefall, Eskimo Callboy, Misfits, Alt-J, Shoot the Girl First, Fat Freddys Drop, Daisuke Tanabe......
While in Japan I also really got into Drum & Bass. Tokyo has so many amazing DJ Bars!

Movies: A LOT. For example pretty much anything by Jim Jarmusch, Takeshi Kitano and Akira Kurosawa.

Books: Many. Instead of trying to list my favourites I'm just gonna list the weird collection that is currently lying on my desk: Kafka On The Shore (Haruki Murakami), Motherless Brooklyn (Jonathan Lethem), Eat & Run (Scott Jurek), A History Of Japan (RHP Mason), Fermat's Last Theorem (Simon Singh), Spectacle (David Rockwell) and a collection of artwork by Yuko Shimizu

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most relevant to this site is probably my hitchhike from London to Morocco three years ago. Was amazingly fun (and also very frustrating at times). Great experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got quite diverse interests and always happy to share those and teach, anything from science to cooking.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, France, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Monaco, Morocco, Netherlands, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, United States
