Born and raised in Los Angeles, my home for life. Oldest of four children in the Kaplan clan. Growing up, I subsisted on In-N-Out Burger, Chipotle, and pretty much every type of dessert (mostly ice cream). I can juggle four balls with my hands and a soccer ball with my feet (but not at the same time, much to my chagrin). My favorite pastimes are playing soccer, playing FIFA, budget traveling, listening to music on a good speaker system, watching movies and tv shows that are uplifting and happy, eating more dessert, and engaging conversation with friends and family.

I just graduated ’16 from Princeton University w/ an engineering degree in Operations Research (aka Applied Math). Go Tigers! I founded Max Kaplan Textbooks in my dorm room freshman year and operated the business all four years of school ($34k in total net profit). Was a founding member of Princeton Sports Analytics, a club dedicated to original statistical research and career development in the sports industry. My senior thesis “Subway Optimization” used mathematical techniques to optimally route/schedule trains and passengers to minimize overall commute time in the London Underground and New York Metro.

Have been working summer jobs since age 15, most recently all three college summers at the NFL. My published work has been featured on NFL.com and Yahoo! Sports. Was interviewed in an on-air NFL Now segment. Have worked on-field at a Patriots game for Thursday Night Football and in-studio for the NFL Draft.
