Overview
About Me
I'm an easy going chap. New to couch surfing. I've joined with intentions to travel a fair bit in the next couple of years.
I'm comfortable speaking, hanging, drinking, adventuring with most people.
I enjoy spontaneously jumping out of my comfort zone, exploring new cultures, daring adventures. And I really enjoy meeting people from different walks of life, who can challenge any prejudices I may still have.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've joined with intentions to travel a fair bit in the next couple of years. I want to meet new local people who could help me avoid the tourist traps and show me how the locals live and travel.
Likewise, I'm open to showing any travelers around the city of Leeds while I'm here. It has plenty of quirky features hidden around every crooked corner that could be missed without a knowledgeable guide.
Interests
People, culture, nature, adventure.
I thrive from being in wild open spaces, exploring new places in new ways. Climbing, hiking, swimming, cycling, kayaking.
I also work in digital, the web and have founded a new start-up web app for online marketing.
I also love speaking to knew people who can show me new things/offer a different perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I have a huge eclectic taste in music. Enjoy listening to/finding new and original music. Bonobo, Submotion Orchestra, Bon Iver, M83, Animal Collective, The XX the list could go on for days.
Books:
On the Road - Jack Kerouac
Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance - Robert M. Pirsig
Of Mice and Men - John Steinbeck
Are but a few of my favourite.
Also I'm not usually a fan of autobiographies but
Mud, Sweat and Tears - Bear Grylls (Easy read, to the point and a great insight)
Movies:
Minor movie geek. I like good independent films such as: Youth, Her, Lost in Translation, Spotlight, Boyhood. As well as the epic classics: Leon, Fight Club, Terminator 2 (and anything written/directed by Christopher Nolan, Tarantino, Coen Brothers)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed the highest 3 peaks in the UK (Ben Nevis, Snowdonia, Scafell Pike)
Also climbed the highest 3 peaks in Yorkshire in under 11 hours - 28 miles as the crow flies. This does not include assents and descents.
There is much much more on the bucket list.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Greece, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Netherlands, Portugal, Qatar, Scotland, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Thailand, United States, Wales
