About Me
Max (21 years old):
I finished school and now is the time to go on an journey around the world... now when I am still young and full of energy. I seek for an adventure in which I can meet new people from various cultures and learn about the variety of our globe. Stepping out of my comfort zone will help me to grow as a person and hopefully improve my way of living.
I am a simple, very open and social guy that is in touch with nature. I almost never have problems with connecting with other people. Also I am a quite adventurous and spontaneous person, that is open for everything, even things I dont know yet. I'm especially interested in alternative ways of living and self sustainability. I am also interested in martial arts and sports, which I already practise for about 6 years now. Another field of interest is psychology, which I would like to study when I come back from my journey.
Janina (22 years old):
I'm starting this journey to come out of my shell, face my fears and to grow with these challenges.
I want to meet nice new people around the world and learn about their culture. I want to see new things.
The world has so much more to offer than just my little comfort zone and I want to see and experience as much of it as I possibly can. :) I'm open to adventures of all kinds.
I have a vocational baccalaureate diploma as a graphic designer. Besides that I occasionally worked for example as a painter and in a bindery.
As you can see, I'm the creative one of us.
I'm an introvert. You can say I'm a perfect listener but I'm quite shy at the beginning (also because I'm not used to speaking english with strangers) but I'm working on it so I can come out of my shell more. I think this journey can help me with that.
Although I'm more quiet unlike my partner, I'm not short of motivation at all! I want to apply myself.
I'm interested in topics like nature, sustainability, environment protection, self-sufficiency and alternative ways of living. But as I said I'm also interested in art of all kinds.
Apart from my creative streak I LOVE animals taking care of them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hey! :)
We are a German couple from a little village in Bavaria, that chose to escape from our daily routine for one year. We both finished school and we are now taking a gap year before beginning our studies. It's our first time travelling together and for this long and we are very excited about it :)
In this year we want to get up and start life. We want to grow, start a healthier, active life and enjoy the whole adventure and nature. Also we want to experience new people and cultures, aswell as improve our language skills.
We are only travelling with our backpacks, a tent and without much money. Going on a adventurous journey is our biggest dream in which we want to exchange our ideas, experiences and stories with the people we meet. Also, if you have just one "couch", we have air mattresses (and maybe the tent for the garden? :P). So if you are willing to take both of us and have the space, we will figure it all out! :)
