Hi there! My names Max, I'm a 25 year old from Seattle who's been backpacking Europe for the last 6 months and loving every minute of it! I started traveling to take a break from my job back home as an Emergency Medical Technician. Working 24 hour shifts, 72 hours a week for two years was taking its toll on me mentally and physically, so I decided to do something new! And traveling was the answer. Also through these six months I've met some incredible people and seen some jaw dropping places. I even joined a international children's summer camp the day before it started. Best decision of my life, I worked with some incredible counselors and kids through those 10 weeks. Now that camp has ended, I'm back to traveling for another month.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couch surfing to get a feel of what its like to be a local of whichever city I'm staying in. I will stay at hostels some places but still want to experience the local side of it all and meet you welcoming people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge fan of movies so my list could go on and on, lets just say I'm a huge fan of star wars series and the lord of the rings. Music? I get down to whatever music vibes you put out there. I am a fan of all genres, accept country sorry. Truly though I go to a lot of music festivals in the US, so I am definitely a fan of EDM music and would love to visit any music festival in Europe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had to do CPR on patients before, and many people don't realize CPR is nothing like Hollywood. People don't just magically come back from the dead all fine after a few chest compression's. It's actually very hard to bring a persons pulse back. But one day my partner and I had to perform CPR on one of our patients who coded (heart stopped pumping). We and the local fire department performed CPR for about 30 mins and thankfully brought the mans pulse back. He made it all the way to the hospital with a pulse. So in my eyes saving that man is one of my truly amazing accomplishments in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm mot much of a teacher but If you have questions about basic first aid and medical treatment I would be more then happy to share my knowledge with you. Also I have variety of different music in my playlists on my phone and laptop so if you ever want to get down to some good music id be happy to share. Plus I have many travel stories to share if you want to hear them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe I could be a suitable guest for you. I strongly believe in treating the host of wherever I am staying with respect and politeness. I will follow your rules, I will clean up after myself, and seeing how I am medically trained if anyone became injured I would do whatever I could to help them in their time of need. I'm not much of a cook but I can definitely help in the kitchen too, if needed.
