About Me

I'm quite a European mixture of cultures: 1/2 Italian, 1/4 German and 1/4 Hungarian, but I was born and grew up in the sunny side of Switzerland, south of the Alps.

I'd like to hug a penguin one day or do something interesting with my life (other than growing a beard). That's why I'm currently studying Physics, which is also the reason I'm quite busy solving equations and colliding particles (just figuratively for now). Nonetheless, I still find time to go to parties with my friends and cook with my awesome flatmates. You are kindly welcome to stop for some wine and pasta.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Getting to know with a total stranger is always a fascinating and rich experience. So far only good ones! Do you fancy making that list longer?

Interests

Well, besides my passion for science and technology, I like to go out skateboarding with friends, surfing in summer and hit the mountains in winter, or just go out to have a beer and have fun.

Trying to survive as a student, I found out how awesome it is to prepare something tasty yourself, which you can actually eat! Since then I've added cooking to my long time goals and passions.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've recently read Brian Greene's "The Elegant Universe" and Jared Diamond's books "Collapse" and "Guns, Germs and Steel". This place is freaking awesome (I mean our Universe, don't know anything about the others)!

You'll mostly find science books on my shelf, as I like to know more of the planet I live on. However, there's still plenty of space for any suggestion!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did the Overland Track in Tasmania, where I walked for 7 days, carrying my home on the back. Drove Ulysses, a shitty van that I bought in Melbourne, across the Australian desert. Hiked from France to Spain to go surfing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach some Physics and Maths on my black board, if you are into that. If you are more into boards that move, we can go out to skate. If you are more into music, I can show you how to play some tunes on the saxophone, although the neighborhood might not appreciate.

Otherwise, I'd be happy to learn to cook something new together.
