About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Ironman Mont-Tremblant done in 11:11:09 in August, now relaxing.

ABOUT ME

I've been doing road bike racing for 4 years, Triathlons/duathlon for 5 years and studying for too long. Before starting my internship, I want to meet some cool people all around the world and see some of the places I always wanted to go. I don't have much time but I live the time I have fully and I'm the kind of person who always have something to say. You want to hear some funny and stupid stories? I'm the guy who's probably speaking and having some good time with friends. You want to learn serious stuff? I know lot of things that can be interesting, particularly if you hurt yourself and break some leg, I can fix it but here's not the purpose to speak about my job, but my passion: travel, learn new things and live new experiences that I will proudly tell my grandsons and grandaugthers some day in 40 years and hear: "Damn, grandpa you have so much ?/&$ to tell us, so many tales, how the hell did you do that all in only one life?" and then I'll answer: "That's cauz of couchsurfing kids."

PHILOSOPHY

Training philosophy: No pain, no gain, so train.
Life philosophy: Since I was never able to understand the meaning of life and this made me think about it day and night, I just decided to become an orthopedic surgeon to be awake day and night to catch that meaning when it will show up.
Thoughts: Everything can be understood by rationnal thinking. Everything can be destroyed by emotions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completed my first Ironman at Mont-Tremblant in 11 hours 11 minutes without any descent swimming technique 1 year ago. My first triathlon ever being the real deal full long-distance Ironman 3.8 km swim/180 km bike/42.2km run.

Completed my first Marathon with a 6 weeks training 3 times a week. 3 hours and 45 minutes, 28 first Km's OK, 14 last Km's most painful thing in all my life.

Passed my Canadian Medical Licensing Examination by reading only 30 pages since I spent 2 weeks in travel instead of studying.

In France, Cote-d'Azur, did 4 Col climbs in 1 day, 2521 meters climb, 112 km ride. 14 days Total: 20678 meters, 1223 km (2.5 times Mount Everest)

In Quebec: Did Montreal-Quebec (252 km) on my road bicycle in 1 day with a terrible front wind. 9452 kcalories spent that day. half a pound of fat only, ahah!

Teach, Learn, Share

Canada is a big country (2nd largest) with few people (30 millions) led by a total moron (Stephen Harper) who increased our carbon dioxyde emissions by 40% since Kyoto protocol (signed by Canada on April 29th, 1998) by increasing exploitation of oilsands in Alberta for exportation and profit while Quebec has the lowest carbon dioxyde emission per capita because hydroelectricity has been highly developped and nationalized in 1944 and 1962 to fund Hydro-Quebec. There is 75 F-35 combat planes on order by the self-named Harper's Governement who has been elected as majority by all the provinces of Canada except for Quebec voters who elected majoritarily, for the first time in history, a socialist federal Party (Neo Democratic Party of Canada). This makes the Quebec a good socialist province in a very bad capitalist polluting country which is why it should be separated.
